In the day to day hustle of managing our lives there is one important things we should not forget to do too keep our peace about us.
Psalm 34:14: Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Romans 12:18: “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
James 3:16-18 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Jesus taught that His peace is a divine gift that differs from worldly calm and helps believers overcome fear and trouble.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Read these out loud to remind yourself, the angels of God and Holy Spirit what you believe about God’s peace in you. Make the scriptures your own.
(Philippians 4:6-7) I will not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
According to (Isaiah 26:3) God will keep me in perfect peace, because my mind is stayed on him: because I trust him. I will trust in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
(Psalm 4:7-8) You have put gladness in my heart. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, Lord, makes me dwell in safety.
(Psalm 23:1-4) Lord you are my shepherd and I shall not want. You lead me beside calm waters. You restore my soul. You lead me in paths of righteousness. I will fear no evil. You comfort me.
We can see from Jesus’ example in Mark 4:39 where he spoke to the winds and said to the sea, “Peace, be still.” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
We see in Galatians that one of the realities of the fruit of Holy Spirit living in us is peace.
Galatians 5:22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
1 Peter 3:10-11 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
